3.7 FORMA DE RIEGO
En el departamento de Tacna, de las 8 182 UA que riegan, 97,5 %
lo hacen s¢lo por gravedad. Las otras formas de riego (por aspers¡on,
goteo y otras) son muy escasas. As¡, el detalle por provincias indica
que en Tacna, 17 UA riegan por aspers¡on y 5 por goteo; Candarave,
5 UA riegan s¢lo por aspers¡on y 1 por goteo; en Jorge Basadre,
al igual que en Tarata todos riegan por gravedad.

Como puede suponerse, el an lisis de las superficies totales, por
estratos y por regiones naturales tienen la misma caracter¡stica
de concentrarse todo en el riego por gravedad. Dentro de este marco,
es necesario hacer notar que en el estrato de los grandes productores
(con UA de 50,0 y m s Has.) de la Costa, el riego s¢lo por gravedad
baja a 68,9 % de su superficie agr¡cola bajo riego, el riego de s¢lo
por goteo cubre el 3,3 % y otras combinaciones el 27,8 % de la
superficie restante.
