3.2 PROCEDENCIA Y DISPONIBILIDAD PERMANENTE DEL AGUA
El 79,2 % de las unidades agropecuarias riegan 18,75 Has. con
agua que proviene de los r¡os; esto es, el 37,9 % de la superficie
agr¡cola bajo riego. Una UA que representa el 4,2 % del total, riega
20,25 Has., con agua obtenida de pozos. Adem s 2 UA riegan 7,50 Has.
(15,2 %) con aguas de manantial o puquio. Entre estas tres
procedencias de agua se encuentra el 91,6 % de las UA.

En el an lisis por estratos puede notarse que el agua de pozo
s¢lo es utilizada en el tercer estrato (de 10,0 a menos de 50,0 Has.),
ya que 60,4 % de su rea la riega con agua de pozo. El agua de r¡o es
utilizada en los tres estratos m s grandes, ya que el 100,0 %, 33,6 %
y 46,7 % respectivamente, de sus reas, las riegan con agua de r¡o.

En cuanto a la disponibilidad permanente de agua, el 54,2 % de
las UA con superficie agr¡cola bajo riego del departamento tienen agua
permanente, cubriendo una superficie de 18,25 Has. (36,9 % de la
superficie bajo riego).
En la provincia de Tambopata, el porcentaje de unidades con agua
permanente es de 56,3 % con 12,25 Has. En Manu, 42,9 % de UA con
34,0 % de su rea de riego y en Tahuamanu, la £nica UA con superficie
agr¡cola bajo riego dispone de agua de riego permanente.

Cuando se analiza por estratos, en el de 10,0 a menos de
50,0 Has. se ubica el 61,5 % del total de unidades agropecuarias que
tienen riego permanente, para 9,00 Has. (49,4 % del total del rea
con riego permanente). En el £ltimo estrato se tiene el 23,1 % de las
UA con riego permanente para 8,25 Has. (45,2 % del total). En el
primer y segundo estrato se tiene 7,7 % de UA para 0,50 Has. en cada
caso. N¢tese que s¢lo hay 13 UA con riego permanente para 18,25 Has.
lo cual da un promedio de 1,40 Has./UA.
