2.5.5 Poblaci¢n de Ganado Auqu‚nido
En Jun¡n, 4 113 unidades agropecuarias cr¡an 94 116 cabezas
de ganado auqu‚nido. De ‚stas unidades, el 2,1 % no tienen tierras
y cr¡an el 4,1 % de la poblaci¢n auqu‚nida y el 97,9 % tienen tierras
y cr¡an el 95,9 % de la poblaci¢n auqu‚nida restante.
La distribuci¢n de los auqu‚nidos, seg£n el tama¤o de las UA;
indica que el menor n£mero de UA tiene la mayor poblaci¢n auqu‚nida
y pertenece al estrato de los grandes agricultores (15,3 % de UA
y 41,5 % de la poblaci¢n auqu‚nida) y el mayor n£mero de UA tienen
la menor poblaci¢n auquenida y pertenece al estrato de los minifun-
distas (49,0 % de UA y 27,7 % de la poblaci¢n auqu‚nida).

En el estudio de los principales auqu‚nidos, por tama¤o de las
unidades agropecuarias, indica que la distribuci¢n es variada. As¡
tenemos que, de las 33 507 alpacas, el 78,4 % se cr¡an en minifundios
y grandes unidades. De las 60 120 llamas, el 64,1 % se cr¡an en mini-
fundios y grandes unidades. En el caso de los guanacos, el 73,0 % del
total de cabezas, se cr¡an en minifundios y peque¤as unidades agrope-
cuarias. La distribuci¢n en n£mero de unidades agropecuarias, por
estratos, es variable con respecto a la del ganado.
