2.4 ANDENES Y TERRAZAS
El departamento de Ayacucho registra 4 309 UA que cuentan con
Andenes y Terrazas entre los linderos de sus predios, de los cuales
2 827 (65,6 %) UA son minifundistas y el resto est n distribuidos en
los tres £ltimos estratos: 23,5 %, 8,5 % y 2,4 %, respectivamente.
a. Seg£n Tama¤o de las Unidades Agropecuarias
Se puede apreciar que el 85,9 % de las UA del departamento
tienen andenes y 19,8 % de UA tienen terrazas.
Se puede observar que por estratos las UA con andenes crece
hasta el estrato de los medianos productores (de 83,6 % a 92,6 %),
luego en el £ltimo estrato este porcentaje baja a 89,2 % de las UA con
andenes.
En cambio las UA que cuentan con terrazas, muestran una
tendencia decreciente siendo de 22,0 % en los minifundistas hasta
llegar a 12,7 % en los grandes productores.
b. Seg£n Provincia
A nivel provincial el mayor n£mero de UA que emplean andenes y
terrazas se encuentran en Lucanas con 2 861 UA (66,4 % con respecto al
total departamental), Parinacochas con 641 UA (14,9 %) y Huanca Sancos
296 UA (6,9 %), estas tres provincias representan el 88,2 % del depar-
tamento.

c. Seg£n Superficie de las Unidades Agropecuarias
En Ayacucho, la superficie total que ocupan los andenes y
terrazas es de 133,53 Has., la mayor¡a se concentra en los dos
primeros estratos con 105,01 Has. (78,6 %), y en menor proporci¢n en
los dos £ltimos estratos (21,4 %).
La mayor superficie con andenes y terrazas se encuentran en la
provincia de Lucanas con 110,82 Has. (83,0 %) y en Parinacochas con
13,49 Has. (10,1 %).
