El departamento Cajamarca, durante el año 1995 recaudó un ingreso tributario de 34 millones 907 mil nuevos soles. De acuerdo al tipo de ingreso, el impuesto a la renta alcanzó el 42,5% de los ingresos totales así como el impuesto general a las ventas representó el 38,9%.
A nivel provincial, Cajamarca concentró el 77,9% del total de ingresos tributarios y Jaén el 15,4%, las otras provincias acumularon el 6,7% restante.
