1.3 DISTRIBUCION POR SEXO
El 92,5 % de los 57 342 productores individuales
(personas naturales y sociedades de hecho) que tienen tierras
trabajadas en el departamento de Loreto son hombres y tienen el manejo
del 94,1 % de la superficie total agropecuaria departamental. Por
complemento, el 7,5 % de los productores pertenecen al sexo femenino y
manejan solamente, el 5,9 % de las tierras agropecuarias.

Esta relaci¢n por sexo se mantiene tambi‚n a nivel
provincial, con muy ligeras variantes. Merece destacarse s¢lo el caso
de Alto Amazonas. donde los hombres tienen una gran extensi¢n de
tierras manejadas (95,4 %) en comparaci¢n con las mujeres (4,6 %).
