3.3 NUMERO Y TIPO DE POZOS
En el departamento de Loreto hay s¢lo 11 unidades
agropecuarias que riegan con agua de pozos, 2 unidades con pozos
tubulares, 4 con pozos a tajo abierto, 3 con pozo tubular y a tajo
abierto, (mixtos) y 2 UA que no precisan el tipo de pozo que utilizan.
Son 32,30 Has. regadas con las modalidades anteriores, de las cuales
el 49,5 % son con pozos tubulares, el 10,8 % con pozos a tajo abierto
y el 27,2 % con mixtos.
En la provincia de Maynas existen 2 UA que riegan con agua de
pozo, una de ellas con pozo a tajo abierto y la otra con mixtos. La
superficie regada es de 4,80 Has. y los porcentajes respectivos por
tipo de pozo son 20,8 % y 79,2 %.
En la provincia de Alto Amazonas se tienen 8 UA que riegan con
pozo: 2 con pozos tubulares, 3 con pozos a tajo abierto, 2 mixtos y 1
UA que no especifica el tipo de pozo. La superficie total regada es de
24,50 Has. con los porcentajes respectivos siguientes por tipo de pozo
65,3 %, 10,2 %, 20,4 % y 4,1 %.
En la provincia de Ucayali s¢lo existe una unidad agropecuaria
que utiliza agua de pozo, cubriendo una extensi¢n de 3,00 Has.

La totalidad de los pozos existentes en el departamento (12),
se encuentran operativos. En la provincia de Maynas existen 3 pozos y
en Alto Amazonas 9, en ambos casos todos est n operativos.

De las 11 unidades agropecuarias que riegan con agua de pozo,
9 UA est n repartidas entre la peque¤a y mediana agricultura (2 y 7
UA, respectivamente).
El estrato de mayor concentraci¢n, es el de la mediana
agricultura, donde el 42,9 % de las UA utilizan pozos mixtos,
(tubular y a tajo abierto), el 28,6 % s¢lo a tajo abierto y el 14,3 %
s¢lo tubular.

Con respecto a las superficies regadas, la mayor se concentra
en el estrato de los grandes agricultores que riegan con pozos solo
tubulares, llegando a cubrir el 46,4 % de la superficie agr¡cola bajo
riego con pozos. El 38,1 % de las superficies regadas con pozos se
encuentra en la mediana agricultura, aqui la mayor¡a utiliza pozos
mixtos, vale decir, tubular y a tajo abierto. Entre ambos estratos
cubren el 84,5 % de la superficie bajo riego con pozos.

De los 12 pozos existentes en el departamento, las tres cuartas partes se concentran en el estrato
de la mediana agricultura (9 que representa el 75 % del total). Estos estan distribuidos de la siguiente
manera; 11,1 % de los medianos agricultores cuentan con pozos tubulares, 22,2 % cuenta con pozos s¢lo a tajo
abierto y el 66,7 % con pozos mixtos.
