3.1 SUPERFICIE AGRICOLA BAJO RIEGO.
En la Provincia Constitucional del Callao, toda la superficie
agr죅ola recibe agua de riego.
Es decir de los 1 729,25 Has. de la superficie agropecuaria tra-
bajada de la provincia, 1 241,77 Has. (71,8 % del total), constituyen
la superficie agr죅ola bajo riego, siendo estas las tierras que
reciben agua para los cultivos en las unidades agropecuarias.
Esta superficie agr죅ola esta comprendida dentro de los linderos
de 343 unidades agropecuarias.

Evoluci줻 Seg즢 los Censos de 1972 y 1994
Entre 1972 y 1994, a쨚s de los dos 즠timos censos agropecuarios,
la superficie agr죅ola bajo riego disminuy� de 2 148,95 Has. a
1 241,77 Has., mostrando un decrecimiento de 42,2 % en estos 22 a쨚s
y una tasa de crecimiento intercensal anual de -2,5 %.
En esta variaci줻 es fundamental el crecimiento urbano que mues-
tra la provincia Constitucional del Callao en los 즠timos veinte a쨚s.
